What we do
At Dokkho Bangla Foundation, our work is anchored in Social Development that targets systemic change. We are dedicated to Ending Poverty not through temporary fixes, but by equipping people with the resilient skills and tools necessary to unlock their true potential.
Simultaneously, we address the urgent crisis of Climate Change by funding and scaling locally led initiatives, ensuring vulnerable communities have the strategy and support to adapt and thrive. At the heart of all our programs is a singular focus: Investing in Future Generations to build a sustainable, equitable, and empowered Bangladesh. One in 20 people in Bangladesh live in extreme poverty. They face multifaceted challenges, such as access to basic services, but also emerging challenges such as rising living costs and climate impacts
Social Development
- Empowering Communities: Moving beyond charity to drive systemic change and lasting social development.
- Eradicating Poverty: Arming individuals with the tools, technology, and skills to realize their potential.
- Climate Resilience: Scaling grassroots, locally led solutions to help communities adapt and thrive against climate threats.
- Securing the Future: Investing deeply in the next generation to build a resilient, forward-thinking nation.
Humanitarian Response
- From crisis to recovery: building resilience and hope across Bangladesh.
- We stand on the frontlines of national emergencies, transitioning rapidly from immediate disaster relief to long-term community rehabilitation. Our focus goes beyond temporary aid—we work to build climate resilience, restore livelihoods, and embed lasting hope within the country’s most vulnerable regions.
Social Enterprise
- Creating sustainable livelihoods and linking small entrepreneurs to markets for lasting social impact.
- We believe true development must be financially sustainable. Through our social enterprise initiatives, we don’t just train people; we actively bridge the gap between grassroots talent and modern commercial markets. By connecting youth, women, and small-scale entrepreneurs directly to economic networks, we foster self-reliance and generate independent funding to fuel our foundation’s humanitarian work.
Impact Investment
- Core Objective: Investing in socially responsible ventures that expand access to critical services such as education, healthcare, financial inclusion, and technology.
- Impact: These investments scale our footprint, helping us reach people and communities beyond our core social development programs
